I just found my new favorite jewelry designers! And I think you do too now.

Two young designers  from Amsterdam decided to put their creative heads together and started their own collection full of geometric forms (love it).  And the best part is, it is very affordable!

You can find their collection at GEKAAPT and THINGS I LIKE THINGS I LOVE in Amsterdam and Arnhem.

Take a look at their website

Instock is the first restaurant in Amsterdam that give a lot of attention to food waste. The chefs of this restaurant are cooking excellent food to show everyone that thrown away food actually tastes fantastic! I made a reservation for this weekend myself, so of course I will let you know! Because of the huge succes of this new concept, you have to make a reservation in advance.

Volkshotel Volkshotel01

After a long time of waiting, the time has finally come. The Volkshotel is opening! They have a great kick-off marathon planned for the 28th of june and tickets are €12,50. But there is a free opening on the 27th, for just taking a look or having a few drinks. I love this great new concept. The Volkshotel is a hotel, rooftop-bar, creative meeting-point, party place and working-places all in one. Hallalujah, we never have to go anywhere else.

Take a look on their website and see you at the opening!

Wibautstraat 150, 1091 GR Amsterdam

The last couple of years, Amsterdam because totally hip and happening in festival land. For some festival organizations  it seems to be hard to maintain the same atmosphere which they started with because they are growing. Well, Shoeless is definitely not one of them. They surprise me every year, and for the first time they are having a weekend edition at Blijburg. So, take a look at this wonderland for adults, try to find al the secret stages and dance you heart out. Barefoot of course!

21 Juni, 12.00 p.m., Blijburg Aan Zee, Muiderlaan 1001

Mata Hari

Mata Hari

Mata Hari

Usually I don’t really go out for diner or lunch in de city center of Amsterdam because the most places are dominated by tourist shops and restaurants. And despite the fact that I’m am very proud of our red light district, it’s not the area where you expect to find the best restaurants of the city. That’s why this hidden gem, Mata Hari, is such a great surprise in this area! It’s is open all day from 12.00 p.m. so great place to go for lunch or diner!

Cotton Cake

Cotton Cake is one of those great little concept stores in Amsterdam (de Pijp). Shopping combined with cake and coffee makes your day. For the ones that have to put up with a intolerance for gluten (which is me), this little gem is perfect. The have the best cakes without these bad boys!

NeighbourFood Market.

Just around the corner of my apartment we have the Westergasfabriek. It’s the masterpiece of the neighborhood and we very proud to have it. The rest of Amsterdam has discovered this one over the years as well, and there are a lot of creatives who take their chances to organize some festivals. Lucky for us! One of the best in Amsterdam is the NeighbourFood Market. It’s packed with true food-lovers and a lot of great restaurants, coffee lovers, bio-farmers and sausage makers, who have their own stand to blow your mind a way. The whole thing has a little industrial and vintage look. So do you want coffee, a lunch or are you just hung over? The next edition is 18th of May at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam!
